Documentation

The control room of the archive: what is known, what remains provisional, where information comes from and how future updates should be validated.

01
DOCUMENTATION CHARTER

A living archive needs visible rules.

This workspace records the principles that protect the integrity of the Documentation Center. Editorial design may evolve, but dates, credits, titles, roles, locations and rights must remain traceable to an identifiable source.

When the current material does not support a detail, the correct status is “to verify” — not an assumption.

02
SOURCE REGISTER

Current source families.

The project already contains structured records and media files that form the basis of the web workspaces.

VERIFICATION MODEL

Four states, clearly separated.

A shared status vocabulary keeps every page and future export honest.

01

Verified

Supported by a reliable source and approved for external use.

Release permitted
02

Editorially reviewed

Consistent with current records but still awaiting final source confirmation.

Internal use
03

To verify

A real project detail is indicated, but date, credit, spelling or context remains incomplete.

Do not publish as fact
04

Not documented

The project contains no sufficient source for the requested information.

No inference
04
UPDATE WORKFLOW

From new source to approved release.

01

Receive

Add the original document, image, programme, link or testimony without altering it.

02

Identify

Record title, author, date, language, context, owner and relationship to the archive.

03

Cross-check

Compare spelling, chronology, roles, locations, credits and rights across sources.

04

Approve

Assign a version and verification status before updating workspaces or downloads.

05

Release

Publish only the approved derivative while preserving the original source record.

05
CURRENT PRIORITIES

What the archive needs next.

  • Confirm the current professional biography and Artist Statement in each approved language.
  • Verify the complete CV chronology against original programmes and institutional records.
  • Confirm titles, dates, venues and collaborators for every work and festival appearance.
  • Identify photographer and filmmaker credits for existing media.
  • Document publication rights and approved external uses.
  • Create final PDF or DOCX releases only after content approval.
06
ARCHIVE POLICY

Design can interpret. Documentation must remain accountable.

The Documentation Center may organise, contextualise and visually present the archive. It must not invent missing dates, credits, quotations, awards, venues, partnerships or rights.

Every future correction should improve both the public page and the underlying source record so that the archive becomes more reliable over time.
